Cadburys London 2012 Olympics

As part of an advertising campaign for Cadburys in the run up to the London 2012 Olympics I worked with independent award winning agency It’s Pretty Green with athletes;¬†British bicycle motocross racer and track cyclist Shanaze Reade, British wheelchair rugby player Mandip Sehmi, British athlete who runs with prosthetic legs Richard Whitehead, British sprint kayaker Tim Brabants, British gold medalist freestyle swimmer Rebecca Adlington and British wheelchair tennis player Jordanne Whiley.

After the meetings, recceing and scheduling in the weeks before we started the shoot day with Tim and Shanaze at the Lee Valley white water centre north of London in Waltham Cross. Then we raced over to the Lee Valley athletics centre (formerly known as Picketts Lock) in Edmonton to photograph the whole team individually on a white background indoors and as a group on the outside athletics track.

On the stunning blue raised curve edge indoor athletics track we shot an individual portrait of Richard. I also came back to this location to shoot a triple-jump athlete for my London Olympic training grounds project.
