Surfers Western Australia

My first visit to Australia started off by flying to Perth to visit my cousin and her family. They took me to Yallingup Beach, Perth, Western Australia (check out tripadvisor) where the surf was amazing and I started asking passing surfers if I could take a quick portrait of them with their boards. See the pictures below.

Later I was over on the East Coast (check out lonely planet) staying with a best friend in Melbourne. We entered some beach volleyball tournaments on Vic Beach and I carried on taking some portraits and action shots. Check out the portraits I took over there – link.

I had such an amazing time out there. All the pictures I took with the new 21.1 megapixel Canon 5d mk2 and all in natural light, which there seemed to be an abundance of. I remember getting it covered in sand a few times and wondering if it was going to make it through the trip.

Volleyball Vic Beach Melbourne

After visiting my cousin in Perth I flew over to Melbourne (see more on lonely planetto stay with my best friend and play in some beach volleyball tournaments on Vic Beach.

With the 21.1 megapixel Canon 5d mk2 I took some great portraits and action shots of those tournaments all natural light and normal exposures as the light was so damn good and consistent. See the surfer portraits I took in Perth too.
